Shuusa (収差, Literally meaning: Aberration) is the source of power used by all Utari, and those who may have possibly acquired the knowledge and ability in creating it by an Utari, for all of the techniques that are reliant upon the corrosive radioactive chakra that it produces.
Background[]
The Aberration usually takes the form of a dark purple orb that is situated inside of the abdominal region, presumably at the center where all of an individual's chakra is concentrated at. The means by which an Utari gains an Aberration is usually by having a relative, primarily the mother and father, implant fragments of their own Aberrations into the inheritor, ideally when the one receiving the pieces is either five or six. The child is then immediately taught how to use the fragments as a sort of "kindling" to jump-start the birth of their own Aberration.
Historically, it is possible to produce an Aberration on one's own through a laborious process that involves forcing yin chakra-- which is associated with the mind and the formation of thoughts and ideas-- to recreate an objectively physical construct, while at the same time forcing yang chakra-- which is associated with the existence of perceivable entities and the interactions among them-- to recreate an objectively abstract concepts.
The inheritance method is the better known and more commonly practiced method of the two, and it is because of this that, in some small way, a person can acquire immortality in more than just through their offspring. The Aberration of an individual is not only composed mostly of their own native chakra that has been condensed into taking form, it is composed of fragments chakra belonging to generations of long-dead ancestors who came before them and paved the way for their coming.

Abilities[]
The Utari Aberration, while acting as a power source for all techniques used by the Mimtar natives, also bestows many strange properties to the users that manifest themselves over time, and after seeing a sufficient amount of use and progression in skill. Some of these quirks include heightened mutation and other enhancements to an individual's physiology, which in turns makes them more resilient and can even enable the inheritor to easily surpass normal human limits in terms of endurance and strength.
As the user grows more and more proficient with skills that require drawing upon the Aberration's energies, they not only begin to passively expel radiation as an aura, they can also actively alter how corrosive or noncorrosive that aura is when in the external environment; however, such an ability is completely absent when trying to apply it to the chakra present within one's body, as the damaging effects can only be lessened or negated by either shrinking the aberration through a process of minute fracturing, consume Azoth, or remove the entire Aberration itself, which would leave the individual unable to ever produce chakra for the remainder of their natural life unless another Aberration is implanted.
The damage the Aberration inflicts upon the user is proportional to how skilled, and how powerful its host is, as it is said that the Aberrations of Utari technique masters took the form of sizable clusters occupying much of where all chakra within a person is centered in as opposed to a simple spherical shape of an initiate.
Once formed, an individual has their life expectancy drastically shortened to that of 40 to 50 years, with heavy use shortening this further to a life expectancy of 20 to 30 years. In exchange, the wielder of the Aberration is gifted with incredibly frightening proficiency with manipulating the flow of their chakra, to which the performance of their techniques would be considered even more remarkable, as most Utari inherently have stores of chakra that are comparable to a Chunin in the Ninja lands.
The psychological effects of the Aberration varies among individuals, but carries a few generally shared traits over all. Some experience sudden changes in personality, others will become unresponsive or behave in a strange and sometimes self-destructive manner, and fewer still come to be under the influence of what is known as "Battle Schizophrenia". The latter state is only ever triggered when an Utari, or any person who has an Aberration in their body, is under extreme emotional or physical stress. What happens is that the affected individual begins to perceive their environment differently, eventually causing that person to fall deeper into the fabrications of their altered mind as a means of "protecting" the individual from pain or psychological trauma.
Drawbacks[]
Once an Aberration is formed or implanted, the inheritor is unable to or loses the ability to use Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, and Lightning releases, as well as the more advanced releases and Kekkei Tota associated with them.
Under Battle Schizophrenia, the affected individual will lose all ability to discern between friend or foe, causing that person to become an indiscriminate engine of destruction.
As mentioned before, using the power provided by the Aberration shortens the wielder's life span considerably with or without heavy usage.
If an individual is unable to regularly partake in the panacea known as "Azoth" three times a day every day, even missing one dosage could result in the person suffering from spontaneous total organ systems failure and die soon after.
Although not widely known, an Utari man or woman who has accumulated a considerable amount of power in the usage of their Aberration might actually become infertile and unable have children, to which it is suggested that the growth of an individual's power should be heavily restricted with the exception of career combatants.
Trivia[]
Not to be confused with the Aberrant Release used exclusively by the Deva Clan, the Aberration and the chakra produced from it is not the result of an elemental affinity, but a deliberate perversion of chakra as a whole by warping and making two fundamental forms of chakra create an impossibility or contradiction, thus "blurring the boundaries of Light and Darkness" and "Making Chaos and Tranquility indistinguishable".
Aberrant Release deals more along the lines with manipulating certain aspects or laws inherent of the universe for the user's advantage. The chakra produced by the Utari Aberration that is called Foreign Lord's Power, while some Utari techniques reliant on this chakra can indeed manipulate time and space, is in essence a volatile energy, and not the product of having a specific affinity for an advanced element.
Another key difference is that Aberrant Release is specific to a group of people and is only accessible through genetic inheritance. The Utari Aberration can be acquired and used by anyone once the knowledge is acquired.
Additionally, Aberrant Release and the Utari's Aberration are made more distinguishable from each other by different kanji.
While basically anyone and everyone who has chakra can learn how to create an Aberration and use the Foreign Lord's Power, there is currently no known Non-Utari individual who uses this.
