Stemming from the ability of some users of fūinjutsu to manipulate a sealing formula into a physical form, the Adamantine Weapon Binding jutsu was designed to take this a step further.

Principle[]

Although the natural instinct of any who possess the ability to manifest sealing formulae is to manifest it in the form of chains, due to their symbolic importance in the act of sealing, with suprisingly little training it is possible to gain the ability to manifest a sealing formula into many shapes, making this jutsu incredibly versatile. Most commonly, users form weapons out of sealing formulae, though a vast array of objects have been shown, including shields, bows, and even lockpicks. All of these objects, whether it is used or not, have the innate potiential to be able to seal entities. What more, the property of the seal that comprises the weapon can be changed by the user. The appearance of the summoned weapon also seems to depend of the sealing formula. Overall, this is a incredibly useful technique for fūinjutsu users to learn, granting them the ability to not only excel in non-combative roles but also in roles closer to the battlefield. It also allows them to apply their seals to targets from a distance, a feat that previously had to be executed using standard issue kunai and sealing tags. The Adamantine Weapon Binding technique allows this, along with the ability to apply much more complex, larger seals, as, rather than being applied onto a sheet of paper, the seal is turned into the weapon. The weapons can also be fired directly from the body, such as from the palm.
