By embedding the black sand into his own personal puppets Takashi is able to use a unique variation of the puppet technique which he calls puppet mimicry; this allows him to control his own created puppets or puppets that are in his current collection by putting large traces of black sand within the puppet body. Once the sand is inside the puppets body he is able to make it move and control it like a regular puppet user would. In order to use this jutsu he must use the chakra enhanced black since this special black sand already contain large traces of his own chakra and as such he is able to receive signals from the black sand or iron particles within the puppets body.

Doing so also allows him to transmit his chakra and magnetic signals into the bodies and control them remotely like a puppet. From there, the chakra is picked up by the numerous amounts of black sand that each puppet body possess, the black sand inside acts as chakra receivers. The maximum amount of puppets he can control is three at best any higher and the technique wont work due to the number of greater hands and concentration required. He uses a variety of hand movements when controlling the puppets. Like the original puppet technique this technique has few weaknesses: the Puppet technique is a long range style, meaning that the puppeteer is weak against close range fighters. Since Takashi uses his hands to manipulate the puppets, if his hands are disabled, then the magnetic signals received by the black sand inside the puppet body will be disabled and thus the technique can be neutralized. Also, while controlling the puppet, he is wide open if the opponent bypasses the puppet. Also when using this jutsu he is unable to control pre existing black sand outside the puppets body due to the amount of concentration required.

He also needs to summon a puppet from his personal collection into battle so that he can utilize the jutsu, and also this technique works only on his own puppets that has specifically designed or created by him, using the black sand in any other puppet would cause the puppet to get jammed and go out of control.
