Chikara Shima (島力, Shima Chikara) is the current head of the Shima clan. Like many clan heads and Jōnin in Gingagakure, he is a member of the Gingagakure ANBU.

Though at first he disliked Yoshitsune and how an "outsider" built and was ruling a village on the island his ancestor created, he eventually comes to respect the Uchiha as the true first Gensokage and the rest of Akuma as well. He seems to dislike Kazesou, but still does the duty of his village to protect the Daimyō.

Personaility

Chikara is a very calm and strict individual. He does this to set an example for the rest of his clan and for any one who looks up to him. Some of the clan elders say as a child he was goofy and fun loving, anything to make life even grander than what he already thought of it. They continue that this changed to what it is now due to his father's passing and becoming the clan head earlier than expected. He cares deeply for his adoptive sister and cousin as he has always been close to Hōseki and was the main man to raise Kazumi since both of their parents were deceased. Chikara has deep respect and adoration for his grandfather.

Appearence

Chikara looks like a young man in appearence. He wears black and tan robes, along with a large, white, flowing toga draped around his main body and across his chest. He wears a silver necklace. He has black hair that sticks upwards at the top and deep red eyes. Many women are attracted to him for his features, some calling him one of the most handsome men in Ginga.

Abilities

Chikara is swift, has high stamina, and is very silent. It is these traits that allowed him to beomce a very successful shinobi and a high ranking member of the Gingagakure ANBU. As a standard of the ANBU, he became quickly skilled with the use of the gauntlet dagger. Many people say that he could fight Yoshitsune Uchiha in a battle, though Chikara disregards these comments and says he would need a lot more training to contend. As the Shima are related to the Senju, he, like the rest of his clan, has the "body and stamina" of the Sage of the Six Paths.

Nature Transformations

Chikara is a master of the Earth Release, Fire Release, and Water Release. He has learned many techniques from each of these chakra types, though he says that Earth Release is his true affinity. He has shown complete mastery of the Earth Release: Eyes in the Feet, using it to fight in situations when his eyes could hinder him. He can also create clones of earth and defenses of stone that can gaurd himself and multiple allies. With fire he has been known to capture foes with chains of chakra and igniting them with a wave of fire, and able to create something as a giant blast of fire to cover a large radius or make a wall of fire that covers an expanisve distance that is difficult to put out. Water seems to be his least used ability, and uses it mostly for making a a water dragon-like bullet or reflecting techniques back at attacks to cancel them out.

Like many members of his clan, he possesses the powerful Lava Release. With them he is quickly able to spit lava at his foes. Chikara can also coat himself in lava to create a burning armour to burn his foes on contact for both offensive and defensive purposes. He also creates a dog-like head of lava to attack his foes. His signature technique is making fists of lava rain that from the sky to cause wide spread damage to the terrain and harm the opposers.

Kenjutsu

Chikara uses a chokutō passed down in his family. With it he typically uses it to end his foe if it was a true battle and not an assassination. He says he polishes the blade everyday to keep it beautiful. With his sword he has also been known to hit with the blunt edge often before slashing the foe in an odd manner.
