Ghost Body Technique (幽霊体の能力, Yūrei-tai no Nōryoku) is an advanced Hiden that allows the user tomanipulate their own body in order to become completely intangible. A hallmark jutsu of the Amachi Family, the user first infuses their own body with Wind Release Nature Transformation chakra to create an intangible form that resembles a cloud.

While incorporeal, the user is also mainly transparent, and they seem to “shimmer” in and out of the air. Similar to the Iburi Clan's Kekkei Genkai, this amorphous body allows physical attacks to pass completely through them without harm. They are also able to pass through some physical objects, such as bars or even thin cloth, although solid walls remain impassable as they can only move the molecules composing this intangible form around an object, not completely phase through it. While the technique is primarily a form of defense, there is one known offensive technique which incorporates electrocution. The Ghost Body technique is also excellent for surveillance when used while hiding within an actual cloud.

Limitations

• As previously stated, the user can only move the molecules of their body around a physical object, meaning they can be trapped behind solid walls.
• This technique is vulnerable to some flame-based attacks, if the fire serves to evaporate the water vapor necessary in forming a body of cloud.
• The user’s form can also be disrupted by wind techniques, although the enemy’s abilities must be strong enough to counter and overcome the wind that is already a part of their body.
