Demonic Illusion: Barrier of Moonlit Night (魔幻・月夜結界, Magen: Tsukiyo Kekkai) is the Mangekyō Sharingan technique awakened within the left Mangekyō of Nasuka Uchiha.
Overview[]
This technique is literally barrier genjutsu. First, Nasuka either flashes her left eye or weaves the Tiger, Phoenix signs. A black barrier appears at the focal point of her vision. From here, she could make the barrier take on three properties.
The first property is to trap anyone within the boundaries of the barrier in the genjutsu world of Tsukuyomi. Unlike normal Tsukuyomi, her barrier variant can affect more than one person at the same time since it is a setting-type instead of her having to stare into the eyes of an adversary. She could mark a specific area with her Mangekyō Sharingan and provide chakra to delay the formation of the barrier until someone walks onto or near the "tripwire", triggering the trap.
The second property of the barrier is to prevent anyone from entering the barrier limits. This is done by entrapping the person who walks into the invisible barrier within the world of Tsukuyomi. Again, although her actual technique isn't Tsukuyomi, she still is able to cast the genjutsu on the barrier.
The third property is the deadliest of them all and the most deteriorating on her Mangekyō Sharingan. It is done in the same way as usual: the barrier appearing at the focal point of Nasuka's vision. However, she could set a second layer onto the first barrier. This traps anyone outside of the first barrier within the genjutsu world of Tsukuyomi. The larger the perimeter of the second barrier, the more deteriorating it is on her Mangekyō Sharingan.
Trivia[]
- The author came up with this idea after having a nightmare about Tsukuyomi.
