The Stone World Viewing is a supplementary technique used to track individuals over vast areas. It is said to rival the Telescope Technique in both range and versatility.
Overview[]
The technique is initiated through the user either picturing a place they wish to observe, or a person they are trying to view, the earth shifting before them as a rock formation is formed. The formation naturally draws from the ambient natural energy flowing through the immediate surroundings as it adjusts itself to a meticulously detailed model of the area they are viewing consistent with the terrain, models of people, buildings, animals all in real time. This is said to be done by the technique consistently absorbing chakra through Dragon Veins (龍脈, Ryūmyaku) flowing through the earth, stretching throughout the world. As events transpire at the location being viewed, those same events are mirrored within the rock model, updating it as they happen—keeping the user apprised of the status of the area and those therein.
The technique's effectiveness is greatly increased when used by a Sensor Type. Due to the nature of the jutsu it makes the technique an invaluable asset for intelligence purposes, war planning, and planning during missions. In Iwagakure within the Tsuchikage's building a rock model of the village is maintained, and constantly monitored by several sensor-nin, allowing Tōji to stay informed on what is transpiring within his village and even around it.
Trivia[]
- The technique is inspired by/derived from The World through a Rock Model from the series Black Clover
- The technique is similar in many aspects to Konoha's Telescope technique
- According to Tōji, one can use rock or mud for the technique.
