After using the the Hair Binding Technique, Hitomi tightens the grip of her hair into an opponent, rapidly channelling more chakra into her hair. When the opponent is tightly bound, Hitomi then hardens certain strands of her hair, causing the hair to sink into an enemy's flesh like long pins, causing bleeding and intense pain.
As the constriction gets tighter, the pins sink deeper and cause more hurt, or in severe cases penetrate organs. Due to the violent nature of the technique, Hitomi prefers not to use it, mainly using it once in a while for interrogation purposes. The additional put off factor is that her hair gets all bloodied.
