The Hawk Kata is a fighting style that can only be mastered by those who have trained with the hawks at Seutori Cave. Like with Frog Kata and Snake Kata, the user must use senjutsu chakra to "activate" their body in various different ways. Noticeably, when using this fighting style, the senjutsu chakra causes the body to begin to vibrate at high speeds, though these vibrations are so fast that it doesn't appear they are moving at all.

At the same time, the user generates an aura of senjutsu chakra around their body. The user then mimics a hawk in their motions, focusing the majority of their power within their fingertips. By keeping a grounded footing, the user strikes out with a striking motion, much like how a hawk strikes, releasing the senjutsu chakra at the moment of impact, causing tremendous damage to any hit by it. The user, much like a snake would, targets the eyes, groin, and joints of the target.

The fighting style also is fit for weapon fighting by applying the same style and techniques to the user's weapons. By employing this aura of natural energy, a Sage such as Sayotsu Uzumaki can use this aura to extend the reach and force of his physical attacks. Punches that a Sage throws that seemed to have missed, actually hit and send the target spiraling back. One punch can cripple and completely finish off an opponent.

Due to his unique and dense chakra, Yakedo Shio can utilize this kata without Senjutsu.
