Biography
Hebima is a member of the newly formed clan of snake tamers called the Hebi Clan. When Orochimaru was pronounced dead he quickly took over as the defacto leader of Otogakure along with his clan. As the leader he has access to a wide variety of his clan's jutsu and is quite fearsome despite his ninja rank. During the battle against his home village he was able to hold off numerous Jonin level ninjas at once using his earth syle jutsu Earth Release- Servant of the Earth Jutsu. He was also confronted by a yet unamed village and was able to defeat them in less than 5 days! Even though he is offically listed as a Chunin in the data books the villagers refer to him as their Kage.
During his reign of Otogakure he faced many difficulties. When Hebima first became Otokage he was already faced with assasination attempts. He had been told that his own clan the Hebi Clan was planning to betray him. Worried for his life he sent several ANBU to dispose of the clan, though his plan failed due to his Jonin sister Hebiko. However he managed to kill her.
Later he tried seek out the Akatsuki knowing that as long as they existed he could never fully be safe. Hebima sent out numerous ninja to track the organization but only one returned. The ANBU that returned managed to return with valuable information on the Akatsuki. He told Hebima that Itachi Uchiha was the one who killed the other ninja. With that information he decided to confront Itachi.
Itachi and Hebima managed to fight each other but in the end Hebima lost though he did manage to injure Itachi severly enough to retreat. This battle may be the reason why Itachi wasnt fighting at full strength during his fight with Sasuke. Zetsu commented on how Itachi might have been wounded before his battle with Sasuke.
