Indo Huiyo is a character that lives in the time of the show NARUTO. His Battle Theme song is Encounter and his Theme song is Animal I have become. If you want to see his Shippuden Prologue, which has spoilers for yet-to-come events, read Indo Shippuden Prologue.

Biography

Indo Huiyo is a ninja; a Genin/Chunin-level Shinobi of Konohagakure, whose origin is apparently, Otogakure. Indo Huiyo has no idea where he came from, and who his family is. He only knows he was discovered by the Hidden Leaf Village as a baby, at the gate. They found a Otogakure headband and on it's side it said, "Indo Huiyo", so they called him that and dubbed him an orphan. Indo is usually known as a boy who is lonely and dull, due to his raising in ROOT by Danzo. However, when his good friend, Rock Lee (who he met at age 5) comes around, he gets happier and energetic. He later learns to like everyone. Indo is friends with an Captain known as Linebeck. He bears a strong resemblance to Madara Uchiha because of him absorbing some of Madara's DNA when him and The Slabia of Light gave the Uchiha Clan the Mangekyo Sharingan.





Personality

Indo usually was depressing and boring, but when he was around his friends, he became energetic. Indo doesn't like to show his power and doesn't think he has anything to prove, since he already knows how good he is. With an IQ of 170, Indo has invented the Morse code, consisting of tapping a shinobi's foot in unison, allowing them to talk if they were captured, trapped, etc. Indo is also shown to get frustrated easily, calling Otonami Sokudo, "Speedy" and Naruto Uzumaki, "Knucklehead". He also takes wearing headbands seriously, like Naruto.





The Slabia of Darkness

"That monster is my weapon." Indo to Tsunade




For years, Indo believed that a dark spirit was sealed into him. However, that is what Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage told him. However, after learning the truth in the month before the Chunin Exam Finals, he learns that he IS a demon in human bonds, known as the Slabia of Darkness. Due to being this demon from birth, he was born with characteristics of an Uchiha Clan member (such as fully matured Sharingan eyes, looking like an Uchiha, and able to master legendary Fire-release jutsus), which upsets Sasuke Uchiha. The seal on his arm was sealed on him by Semoiya Secoiya, and it holds back the Slabia's instincts, mind, and power. It holds back it's instincts to kill and destroy, however it wears off when he's 14. Over the years, Indo has learned to tap into this power regularly but it is not classified as Demon Chakra. This power is an energy that alters Indo's jutsus (by making his Chidori purple and explode when touched).

Before Part 1

Baby at the gate

A newborn baby is left at Konohagakure's gate





Days at the academy

At age 3, Iruka Umino, and Hayate Gekko built Indo a treehouse next to the academy. It can be noticed as the tree with the swing on it. At age 6, Indo met Sasuke Uchiha's and Itachi Uchiha's parents. Their father noticed that Indo had Uchiha blood in him, by having the special Sharingan Kekkai Genkai since his birth, and the fire-release jutsu, Shadowbreath. Once, during his training, Indo created a ball of lightning called a Chidori. The mother and father knew Indo had Uchiha blood and were going to adopt him, but were killed on the night they were going to, by Itachi Uchiha. Itachi, forgeting to kill Indo on his way out of Konohagakure, left him untouched. Sasuke Uchiha hates Indo, because he thinks Indo stole his parents away from him in the last few months. At age 13, Indo rose as a promising ninja, and became a very close friend to Rock Lee. He was skilled, and became known as the Dark Ninja. He was assigned to Might Guy's team but was swithched out a week later for a girl named Tenten.





Learning Chidori

A year later, Indo mastered Chidori, calling it the Shadow Ball Chidori, with help of Kakashi Hatake.





Part 1

Mr. Kakarak finds Indo

A year later when the Rookie Nine have graduated, Indo activates Sharingan in training, and the ganglord, Aleos Kakarak finds out.





Chunin Exams

Lee loves Sakura?

"You are good, but let us see you dodge this!" Rock Lee to Sakura Haruno after she dodges his kiss Embraced by confidence of prevailing over Sasuke Uchiha, Rock Lee challenges him to a match. Indo goes along to make sure Lee doesn't get hurt. Naruto Uzumaki, runs at Lee to defeat him, but is tripped by Lee's leaf hurricane. Lee, then looks at Sakura Haruno, and tells her that he loves her. Sakura, surprised, dodges Lee's blown kiss. Lee launches more and Sakura dodges them all. Indo stops Lee by saying, "Alright, alright. Enough with the kissy dance!" Lee then challenges Sasuke, and defeats him.

Preparing for the written portion, Indo meets Ryuka.





Written Portion

Ibiki Morino



To start the exams, an ANBU master interrogator, Ibiki Morino passes out an impossible test. Indo figures that he must cheat to pass. Indo asks if he may use the bathroom, and in it, he makes a clone to take his place. Indo then uses Shadow Blend Transformation Technique to go around the room and look at people's papers. After getting the information he needed, the clone asks if he can use the bathroom again. Ibiki sees a trick and tells the clone, "You can hold it." To create a distraction, Indo throws a pencil and quickly gets into his desk, thus making the Shadow Clone disappear and his cheating undetected. Indo passes the test, when Ibiki explains that you needed to cheat.





The forest of death

In the second exam, Indo and the rookie nine were sent to the forest of death, a training area.





Chunin Exams: Indo Huiyo vs Kyashi Urami

Preliminaries

In the preliminaries, Indo fights Gensho, eldest of the Ryudoin brothers who have sought revenge on Might Guy because he defeated their father, Ryudoin Agira. At the begining of the battle Gensho uses the Intercepting Technique. Indo barely dodges it and activates his Sharingan. Gensho then surprises him by summoning practice posts that copy Taijutsu. After Indo dismantles a few, Gensho starts making the posts' actions start to copy Indo's every move.
Gensho Ryoduin
Indo is near to defeat when uses a last resort, the Shadow Destroyer Jutsu. It grows to rapid for the posts and they break. Indo defeats Gensho and moves on. Gensho would now train harder to create "harder posts" to defeat.

Looking for a trainer, Might Guy volenteers.





Semoiya's training of Indo

Seeking training before the next round againist Shino Aburame, Indo, finds Semoiya Secoiya of the Secoiya clan. Semoiya reveals to him a truth that is "classified information", only known to some others. Learning this disturbing news, Indo comes to like Semoiya.





Invasion of Konoha

The night Kabuto Yakushi and Baki have a meeting, Indo finds Kabuto. Kabuto asks him to wait then they'll talk. Hayate Gekko, one of Indo's best friends finds him and attempts to stop Baki and Kabuto. After witnessing Hayate's death, Indo tries to kill Kabuto. Kabuto easily defeats Indo with a jutsu to the head, and Indo lost record of that night. At the Chunin exams round 2, Indo was about to go up against Shino, when Kabuto used a sleeping jutsu making the audience fall asleep. Sakura Haruno, finds Indo and wakes him up. Indo then joins Naruto as they help find Sasuke Uchiha who is going after Gaara. Indo instead falls behind and finds Hayate Gekko's killer, Baki, who caught up to them after fighting the proctor. After remembering the night, Indo swears that Baki will now die a slow and painful death. After the invasion of Konahagakure ends, Indo learns the death of Sarutobi.





The third Hokage's funeral

Indo is one of the many that go to the Hokage's funeral. He is also one of the many that put flowers on his coffin.





Semifinals: Shino Aburame VS Indo Huiyo

On the day of the match, Shino is pitched up againist Indo. In the end, Indo barely beats Shino. Indo goes to the hospital and gets out a week later.





Another Chance: Sasuke Uchiha VS Indo Huiyo

Sasuke Uchiha, who hates Indo, asks if he can battle Indo for another chance to become Chunin. They agree. Indo fights Sasuke after. Sasuke finishs by using Fire style, Phoenix Flower Jutsu on Indo's back, and causes a third-degree burn, knocking him unconcious

Sasuke then tries to kill Indo with Kunai, but the match ends before. Indo spends a month in hospital.

After Rock Lee was attacked by Gaara with Sand Coffin, he faces a long and difficult rehabilitation. Might Guy and Indo try to find Tsunade, a legendary medic to heal him. When she examines him, she says there can be an operation, but it will be 50% to live or 50% to die. Lee, urgently accepts. Indo, gets angry at Lee. Indo, cannot live life without him. Then he is happy when he learns Lee survived.

When Indo sees Sasuke kills (knocks out) Naruto, Indo goes in to avenge his knucklehead ninja friend. Sasuke plans to kill Indo, once and for all.





Anime filler arcs

Might Guy challenges Lee

Lee builds his own dojo and trains by challenging others. Guy had planned to challenge Lee but was distracted by Shikamaru's accidental emergency call. When Lee's dojo goes unchallenged in one arc, Guy challenges Lee himself disguised as a stranger, without Lee knowing. Indo first catchs a glimse of it, and says, "Okay. I've seen somethings in my time from you. But that is the worst." Guy ignores him and challenges Lee. Indo says, "Rock will know it's you." Then Lee walks up saying, "Who is this?" Indo puts a hand over his eyes and sighs.





From Annoyance: Indo Huiyo vs. Otonami Sokudo

Meeting a strange ninja, Indo chases him, to begin a match.





Revenge on Might Guy

Gensho used Wooden Men Possessed Body Transfer Manipulation Technique to force Guy to fight to the death with Rock Lee. Guy realized he was fighting Lee and Gensho's plan failed. Gensho was then taken to the medical corps. Indo was upset by Gensho's choice.





Indo Huiyo v.s Seireitou Hyuga

Tired of hearing the rumors about Seireitou Hyuga, Indo challenges him. It is not long before Indo learns Seireitou is the stronger one.





Hidden Star Village Arc

Indo along with Team Guy and Naruto Uzumaki are sent to protect a star. The mission is successful.





A Legend from the Hidden Leaf: The Onbaa!

After his training, Indo appears to Naruto as he gets a strange creature stuck on his back, called an Onbaa. Indo asks what it is and Naruto answers, "This is an Onbaa!" and the Onbaa yells, "Onbaa!". Indo says that he is going to go home and go to bed, and try not to think about this.



Later, Indo wakes up at sunset to find Onbaa crawling all over his treehouse, and on everyone in Konoha. He then goes back to bed without a word.





Olcar Nut Arc

Indo and a team are sent to find the legendary Olcar Nut.





Ryun Uchiha vs Indo Huiyo

Wanting to know more about Ryun Uchiha, Indo challenges him. The battle is a defeat, and Indo is left to question what had happened.





Ninja Dropouts Arc

Indo, Rock Lee, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sakura Haruno are sent to guard a ninja dropout who was captured. However, Naruto, Indo, and the dropout are split up from the others, and the dropouts attack.





ASTONISHMENT: Tsunade's marriage!

Tsunade Senju calls Indo to give him another mission. Doubtful of the mission's difficulty, Tsunade reveals that she is getting married to her yet-to-be husband is Seireitou Hyuga! Complaining, Indo is assigned in tracking down a video recorder to tape the wedding. However, Indo has trouble tracking down a tape recorder, since everyone in the village wants to see this!

Indo is present at their marriage. However, a week later, a problem comes forth.

Naruto's departure

Naruto Uzumaki, leaves with Jiraiya for training. They will not be back in some time. Indo says goodbye to his knucklehead ninja friend, and says he'll be waiting for his return...or so he thinks.





The Slabia returns...

it begins

"The last time a demon attacked the Leaf Village, it was the Nine Tailed Fox, and it almost destroyed everything we hold most dear." Captain Lesidion of ANBU Black Ops



After months of Semoiya Secoiya's absence, Indo sees that his scar is dissappearing more and more. When Semoiya finally comes back he confirms that he has a week before his seal wears off before he becomes the Slabia of Darkness. However, this time turning into the Slabia of Darkness, he actually becomes the real thing, other than a regular transformation, and this time, it effects his behavior, and makes him have more power and chakra than a transformation. Semoiya, then searches for the scroll of the All human bond seal, that he lost by Kabuto Yakushi stealing it. Seoiya Secoiya tries to confront Indo and kill him, believing he is too dangerous. However, Seoiya is forced to retreat. Indo, angered, decreases the restoration rate to 2 hours. He then starts turning into a human/bird. His feelings become to hard to control, so he begins to plan the destruction of Konohagakure. Taking out stealthly (not killing), Tsunade Senju, Jiraiya, and several ninja who could be equally matched with him. Then he goes to Hokage Rock, five minutes to restoration. Rock Lee, Might Guy, Kakashi Hatake and Neji Hyuga find him and prepare for a showdown.





The Dark Day: Forced to kill a friend

Indo begins the combat with his friends. Even though, time is running out.





The death of the Dark Ninja

When Indo turns into his final form, Rock Lee is forced to stun him with Hidden Lotus. However Semoiya Secoiya uses All human bond seal on him again. Rock Lee notices Indo has but can't stop the flying kunai wrapped in his bandages, powered by the lotus. The kunai goes straight through Indo, piercing his heart. After exchanging a few sentences with Lee, Guy, Tenten, and Neji, he apologizes to the all the citizens in the destroyed Konohagakure. Tsunade Senju and the rest of village, just care about Indo's life, and Tsunade tries to heal him with medical jutsu. Neji, examines his body with Byakugan and informs his squadmates that Indo has passed away. Lee, at the sight, wonders how he can ever forgive himself? Semoiya, stricken by this, leaves the village. Gaara, learns about this and makes the Sand Village perform a funeral for his departed friend.



"With his death, the village will lose hope..." "No, the village is full of people willing to do what is right. If they don't be the ninja like Indo, he will have died for no reason. We knew that, he knew that." Semoiya Secoiya to Might Guy





A possible future

After, Indo's treehouse becomes a memorial. At Indo's funeral however, Tsunade Hyuga, lifts the coffin, not to find Indo, but emptyness. The ANBU think the cause is grave robbers, but Tsunade smiled and said, "A possible future lies for you." If you're not sure how he survived, read "How Indo lived".

Timeskip

After faking his death, Indo goes on a long journey that takes place in the 2 and a half year timegap. His mission is to collect 44 keys to unlock Otogakure's Slabias' temple, and discover who he really was. He dares not to go back to Konohagakure, for fear of turning againist his friends and losing control. So, he trys not to leak the secret the the village that he's alive. During this gap, he forms Indo's alliance, with help of a strange female known as Kaitro.





Chidori Training: Ahatake trains Indo

Indo asks the Rogue Ninja, Ahatake Kurosaki, to teach him a better Chidori. He accepts and does.





Attacked

Before Indo can put his new plan into action, he is followed by half of Orochimaru's Sound Ninja Army, lead by Kabuto. Also, the Akatsuki put a new plan into action; kill Indo before Orochimaru captures him and gains his power.

Finding Kaitro

During a campfire, Indo discovers a strange girl with no name and no history. He offers to find her past and names her Kaitro. Kaitro seems to not want help, and to only want to help him. For some reason, she seems to like Indo.





Finding the keys

Snow Country attack

After months of getting keys, he reaches the snow country. His traveling has been detected and Kabuto is closing in to him. Indo and Kaitro take a secret route to the temple and are attacked from Armorgado, king of the armadillos. Indo barely defeats him and continues.





Kaitro revealed

In a major battle woth the Sound ninja, Kaitro disappears, revealing herself as the Slabia of Light and leaves Indo to question it.





Itachi joins the cause

After saving him, Itachi, explains to Indo his repentance. He wants to rid Sasuke of his hatred of him. Indo believes Itachi, and Itachi asks if he can train Indo in the way of the Mengakyo Sharingan. Indo says he lost use of his Mengakyo, even though he is the Slabia. Itachi says it can be the cause of his changing to a human.





Nearing the end

Indo and Itachi have a long journey and Indo discovers more information at the last temple. That is secret information.





Itachi VS Kisame

After a while, Itachi and Kisame face-off after Indo disables both his hands with Chidori of Darkness. Itachi barely defeats him, and takes off with Indo, but Kisame was really a water clone.





The end of his days

Itachi conforms to Indo that his final days are coming and leaves Indo saying, "My brother's lust will be cured. I must give this power to the last survivor of Uchiha blood." Itachi asks Indo where he is going. Indo replies, "To the Sand Village. Gaara will let me stay there."

Part 2

Indo realizes that the Sound should not be his true colors. Indo creates a custom headband. After, Indo does go to the Sand Village, and Gaara does welcome him. But this will not be long.

Rescue Gaara Arc

Gaara kidnapped

While Gaara's student, Matsuri, could not sleep, Indo went to comfort her. However, their attention is drawwed off by Gaara's combat with a ninja in air. Indo instantly realized him as a member of the Akatsuki. Gaara is defeated saving the village from a huge bomb. The ninja captures him and flees. Kankuro pursues after the kidnapper, but Indo protests that it is too dangerous. Kankuro, ignores him. Indo runs after Kankuro.





Indo VS Deidara

The weak kidnapper stops when he sees Kankuro behind him. Kankuro is challenged by another Akatsuki member named Sasori. While Kankuro is held up, Indo runs to the kidnapper. Indo demands that he let Gaara go. The kidnapper chuckles and removes his hat, revealing himself as Deidara. Deidara is shocked by the boy’s power and his Shadow Destroyer Jutsu. However, Indo is hit by Sasori’s tail, who defeated Kankuro. Indo is unconscious for a few minutes, then awakes and goes to Kankuro who was poisoned. Indo realizes that it isn’t long before his death, which makes Indo incredibly sad to lose his friend. Indo carries Kankuro all the back to the Sand Village, but on the way, he discovers his eye is bleeding.





Indo meets Chiyo

"So you're the almight Slabia of Darkness? I was expecting you to be taller." Chiyo to Indo



Indo brings Kankuro back to the Village. Baki assigns two medical ninja, Chiyo and Ebizo. Chiyo makes a short conversation with Indo, wondering how can he be the Slabia of Darkness in human form.





Team Kakashi arrives

"Remember me?" Indo to Naruto



Upon his return to Konohagakure, Naruto Uzumaki was assured Indo was dead. However, when Team Kakashi get to the Sand Village, they see Indo. Kakashi informs them that Indo is still a threat and must present himself to Tsunade.





Indo goes after the Akatsuki

After Kankuro's operation, Indo knows there is only a short amount of time before the Akatsuki succeed in draining Gaara of the Shukaku, killing him. To Indo's surprise, Team Kakashi invite Indo to leave the village to go find him. Chiyo also comes. Indo runs relentlessly to his goal, and strays away from Team Kakashi and Chiyo (before they see Itachi). He is suddenly forced to turn his attention.





Team Guy attacked by Kisame

"No...it can't be." Rock Lee to Indo



Indo sees Might Guy, his former squad leader, and his friends Rock, Neji, and Tenten, are under attack by Kisame Hoshigake. The three are trapped in water balls created by Kisame, while Guy himself is fighting him. Three Kisame water clones are making sure the three don't break out. However, Indo saw a weak point in Neji's water cage with Sharingan, and Tenten's breath is running out.





Indo assists Guy

Indo aids Guy to defeat Kisame with Art of the Slabia: Ultimate Chakra Pulse. This jutsu was made in the timeskip, and takes 67 handsigns to use. Guy thanks Indo and they go to get Gaara.





Back to the Leaf Village

Indo Returns

Indo gets back to the Leaf Village but is soon arrested by Captain Lesidion.





Tsunade Explains

Tsunade explains what happened to village after he left. Indo discovers Semoiya has left. Tsunade lets Indo live in his treehouse again.





Indo's new mission

Indo's old boss, Danzo, came to Indo a day later. He wanted Indo to track and kill Sasuke Uchiha. Indo agrees.

Gaining help

Indo's Part 2 clothing



Indo teams up with ANBU's Captain Lesidion. They set out to discover the traitor who let the Akatsuki into the Sand Village. Indo assigns Xutoy the Crow to go to the Sand Village and make sure that if anyone leaves, they know. They go to the Sand Village and learn about each other while getting there. They meet up with Gaara, telling him that they will help investigate.





The investigation

Gaara tells Indo that he has restricted anyone from leaving the village already and he made sure that no guard left the village either. Xutoy reports back with the same information. Indo is relieved and begins his investigation. All of the sources said that Captain Yura was in charge of security. They meet up with Yura, questioning him. After two days of intense interrogation, Yura cracks. Yura tells them that the Akatsuki works throughout the region, collecting tailed beasts. He also tells him that the Akatsuki leader is Pain. Indo asks him, "Who is Pain?" Yura replies, "What is Pain? Pain is a god." Lesidion gets frustrated and grabs him by the collar. Yura murmurs, "You fool...you cannot escape the Rinnegan...rinnegan...gan...one..." Then Yura dies, due to poisoning. Indo is upset with the outcome, and decides to head back to the Leaf Village to ask Tsunade.





Back at the Leaf Village

Lesidion is placed back on duty for the time being. Tsunade couldn't explain what the Rinnegan is or was, but has an idea. She calls Anko Mitarashi. Anko, says that a person who is perfect at shinobi history and forbidden jutsu. She says that need to find the man who was the first to have believed in Indo. The man who married Anko, but left her out of depression. That man was Semoiya Secoiya. Anko, however, doesn't have a clue where he is, but knows where to start: Orochimaru. Indo suggests that meeting with Orochimaru, isn't exactly easy. Anko replies that a new mission is coming. One consisting of Team Kakashi. Indo is eager to learn the mission.

Sasuke and Sai arc

Reunion with Sai

Tsunade informs Indo that Team Kakashi discovered a traitor in Orochimaru’s unit from Sasori. Indo knows that with this traitor, they can find Semoiya and get more information about Sasuke. Indo also learns that Kakashi awoke the Mengakyo Sharingan and is in the hospital after using a jutsu called Kamui. The team recently added an ANBU Captain who Indo knew well: Captain Tenzo. Danzo also assigned "one of his own" to the team. A perfect example of the system of ROOT. Indo never learned his real name, but he knows him as Sai. Ryuka Uchiha had also joined this team for the time being. Sai seemed to despise the others but was respectable to Indo, calling him by his codename, “Raven”.

Indo saw Naruto get constantly annoyed with Sai on the way to the Tenchi Bridge. Sai eventually stopped tormenting Naruto after Sakura punched him.

The location of Sasuke and Semoiya

When they got to the Tenchi Bridge, Indo was determined to find Semoiya. Yamato disguised himself as Sasori to get the information from the spy. But, to everyone's surprise, the spy was Kabuto. Indo knew Kabuto well and knew something wasn't right but could not say anything to Yamato. Kabuto told him that there are countless Sound Lairs everywhere. However, as soon as he said anything about Semoiya, Orochimaru showed up. Kabuto said that he and Orochimaru were going to ambush Sasori but figured out it was Yamato. Surprised, Yamato signaled for back-up. Naruto, Sai, Sakura, Ryuka, and Indo jumped to his side from a nearby bush. Orochimaru comments how Indo and "the Nine Tailed Fox brat" have grown. As Indo and Naruto's anger grows by the second, Orochimaru stays completely calm. As Indo demands Semoiya's location and Orochimaru seemly says to “look around”. Indo does not understand and shows further anger. Orochimaru explains that Semoiya has been "annoying him with his resistance members lately". Indo still does not understand and demands to know about this "resistance". Kabuto says that the resistance is a group formed recently by Semoiya and Seoiya Secoiya, that consist of Rogue Sound Village Ninja, who want to "revive their homeland". Indo is shocked. He doesn't know where to begin. Semoiya could be anywhere. Orochimaru then points out that the Resistance is easy to find for Rogue Sound Ninja, to Indo’s surprise. Naruto then demands the location of Sasuke.

Orochimaru then chuckles and says he is getting tired of answering their pathetic questions. Naruto's anger grew by the second and Indo saw him get tails made out of the Nine Tailed Fox's Chakra. Enraged that Orochimaru had spoken as if Sasuke belonged to him, Naruto entered a three-tailed transformation, and attacked him. Indo seized Kabuto in Shadow Destroyer Jutsu, and Naruto ran off to fight Orochimaru. Shockingly, Indo was electrocuted by the dark energy activated by Shadow Destroyer, and was knocked unconscious by it. While a fair match, Orochimaru was able to evade Naruto's attacks. Further provoked by his inability to land a debilitating blow, Naruto advanced to the four-tailed form, losing his sense of self in his anger. Now a danger to Orochimaru, Naruto was forced back so that he could switch targets, his first being Sakura. Yamato restrained him before he could do any real harm, and forced the Nine-Tails' influence to recede. When he woke up, he had an idea. They followed Orochimaru in the hopes that he would lead them to Sasuke, and to see what he was up to. During a break, Yamato took Naruto aside, and told him of how he had attacked Sakura, encouraging him not to rely on the Nine-Tails if he really wanted to protect those close to him. As they ran to Orochimaru’s hideout, Naruto wakes up Indo, who is in pain from the electricity. Indo is helped by Ryuka and Naruto, who asked him what happened. Indo said, “I don’t know.”, but a bigger question was in his head; “Where is Sai?”

Sasuke

Sai head joined Orochimaru to find Sasuke. When they arrived at Orochimaru's hideout, they infiltrated the lair, and captured Sai. Exposed, Sai revealed that his superiors had sent him to help organize another invasion of Konoha. Indo was deeply upset at Danzo, but dared not to speak his name. Sai revealed to Indo that his other mission was to spy on Indo, for his superiors did not trust him. Indo grabbed Sai by the throat with the intent to kill, but Naruto stopped him. Indo calmed down. He was restrained for his treachery, while the others went looking for Sasuke. Sai, having earlier met Sasuke, asked why Naruto was so determined to bring him back. Naruto explained that the two had a bond that couldn't be broken, and that he would risk his life to protect this bond. Intrigued, Sai switched sides, helping them to capture Kabuto and then scouring the base in order to reunite Sasuke with Naruto. He succeeded, but was attacked by Sasuke, the magnitude of which drew the rest of Team Yamato to their location.

As Indo, Ryuka, Sai, Yamato, Naruto and Sakura stared at Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura tried to convince Sasuke to come home. Still determined to gain power, he refused, prompting the team to use force. Indo was still injured and was blown back along with Naruto and Sai by Sasuke’s new Chidori move. Their efforts were unsuccessful, and Naruto, in his inability to compete with Sasuke's growth, struggled to reject the Nine-Tails. Within his subconscious, he told it that he never wanted its assistance again, but it was not until Sasuke entered Naruto's subconscious that the Nine-Tails gave up on spreading its influence. In the real world, Sasuke tried to finish off his former, defeated teammates. He was stopped by Orochimaru, however, and they retreated, leaving Team Yamato. Indo was still determined to find Sasuke, and ran off after him.
