"The spear. A very underrated, very underutilized weapon. People believe that all it can do is stab. I created this style to prove them wrong. A spear can be used for just about any method if you train yourself to utilize it completely."

Ittō Shōden Mujō-ryū is a modified style of Ittō Shōden Mutō-ryū. By following the principles Kiritsu's father taught him, the style follows the same method as if using a sword. Only in this case, a staff based weapon is implemented instead. This style is far more difficult to utilize, as there is much more length the user must worry about. And in the case of bladed staves like scythes, spears or halberds, it can be dangerous to an inexperienced user. If used correctly, Ittō Shōden Mujō-ryū can be a powerful fighting style. Since staves have more balance in their weight than a sword does, an expert's movements can be more fluid, more clean. Heavier staves like scythes, spears and halberds generate momentum at the top, giving them far greater damage than if swung under normal means. The basis of this style is constant movement, but more than just that. It's syncing the movement of the spear with that of the user, creating a unity of the two just like with its parent style. A lot of upper body strength is required to do this for long periods of time, making it a very physically demanding fighting style.

Kiritsu utilizes a specially crafted spear when using this style. His spear capabilities have been considered even more elegant than his sword capabilities. Carefully motioned swings combined with beautiful taijutsu combos make him a lethal spear combatant. A cloth is tied around the base where the tip of the spear is bolted into the staff, which hides the direction of his spear's swings. By combining wind release, Kiritsu can summon gusts of wind with each swing, providing a three prong style that is hard to defend against.
