Iwagakure's Army is the armed forces of the hidden village of Iwagakure. It is led by the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, but has been led by every Tsuchikage before him. The army was strengthened after the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended and the Allied Shinobi Forces was disbanded in order to lessen the need for a criminal organization, such as Akatsuki, and to better protect the Land of Earth from the growing tensions between the ninja villages. Though it is lead by the Tsuchikage, the majority of operations are carried out by the Iwagakure Jōnin Council.

After thier treaty with the leader of Akatsuki during the Great Shinobi World War, Akatsuki merges with Iwagakure's army as a separate division in order to strengthen both parties.^[1]

Composition

The Iwagakure army has around 10,000 shinobi in its ranks. It is lead by the Tsuchikage. The second-in-command of the army is Kitsuchi, Ōnoki's son.
