The Kayuga Clan (かゆが一族, Kayuga Ichizoku) is one of the three noble clans of Kagegakure. All members born into this family possess massive chakra reserves and excellent chakra control. As noted by Kakashi Hatake, the least talented Kayuga member has better chakra control than Sakura Haruno.

Background

Before the founding of Kagegakure, the Kayuga were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their massive chakra reserves, the Kayuga clan came to be known as one of the three strongest clans, the others being the Murakami clan and the Nakamura clan.

Kagegakure

The Kobayashi Clan grew tired of all of the endless bloodshed within the Land of Shade. The Kobayashi clan head, Akira, united all of the mercenary clans and created Kagegakure. The Kayuga clan, along with the Murakami Clan, was given the responsibility of safeguarding the village from exceptional threats, and as such, many Kayuga shinobi entered into the ANBU

Abilities

The Kayuga are famous for their aptitude for Fire Release and Lightning Release Techniques. Their signature technique is the Fire Release: Heat Wave Technique.
