Juro developed the Hunting Voltage technique after hearing about, and witnessing Kakashi Hatake's Lightning Cutter. Fascinated, he began wanting to learn the technique by himself, and eventually came up with his own technique; the Hunting Voltage, which was more of an adjustable ranged attack designed to be a quick, highly penetrative move which enabled the user to stay relatively clear of an enemy.
Overview[]
The user performs the hand seals and points an arm towards an opponent. Lightning chakra is accumulated in the hand, unleashing a long stream of high powered and concentrated lightning in the shape of a spear towards the opponent. However, it can also be argued that there is no fixed effect brought on by the technique. Juro has used it to cut off limbs, electrocute surfaces or merely run a powerful electric surge through his opponents' bodies without impaling them. The high voltage is nevertheless capable of badly electrocuting an opponent, easily capable of killing them. Juro is also seen using the attack up close at point blank range, moving his hand into position and firing a devastating beam of sharpened electricity through his opponent. The attack works flawlessly when the user anticipates an enemy's movement, or when aiming to intercept an enemy's high speed movement. Juro's Sharingan enables him to accurately calculate and visualise his opponent's trajectory, ensuring he can land critical hits with the attack when necessary.
Drawbacks[]
However, users of the Lightning Release can easily counterbalance this technique with a weaker lightning type jutsu, and it can be avoided easily by an opponent with very quick reflexes or visual aids like the Sharingan (both with extreme difficulty though), as the lightning travels only in a straight line. The technique apparently also cannot be used consecutively in repetitive succession, and requires a cool down period before it can be used again.
Trivia[]
- This technique was originally meant to be Densetsu's signature manoeuvre, but is now Juro's as the author decided that Densetsu would no longer possess the Lightning Release as of October in 2015.
