Okay, since the chat is lagging like crazy, I think it's best we discuss it here. Can you explain how Chieko is able to cast a genjutsu through the body of someone else after he was hit by a ninjutsu attack?
PS: Tt is mentioned directly afterwards that Sayuri prepared her eyes to mirror any attempt at genjutsu, so if she were somehow in it, then how is it still active?
Also, it's never mentioned on any page, not her own character page, nor is it mentioned in a separate technique page.
I'll use my roleplay with Ita as an example. I used a medium for the genjutsu I put Fūrin under. This is no different. Kaito is the medium.
Next, like I said before, I don't need to list all the ways she can apply genjutsu as there are innumerable applications. I could go on for days on how genjutsu can be applied. However, I stuck to one fact. There's nothing that can't be used as a medium for something in this universe. Furthermore, if you, the author, doesn't know you're in a genjutsu, how could your character mirror it? That would make no sense.
Last, I did this before you attack Kaito. Your mirror attempt happened after you made contact with Kaito. Now, saying that you mirrored a genjutsu that you were already inside is like trying get out of a box made of mirrors and mirroring it. Even then, she prepared for any attempt. That means she still wasn't aware that she was already in one.
She wasn't already in it, it was employed during my turn, which is the turn directly after you attempted the genjutsu.
And I'd argue you do have to list how she can initiate a genjutsu, otherwise anyone could do anything. Can Kurenai cast a genjutsu based off sound? Can Itachi deploy a genjutsu based off scent? The fact that it must exist on your page is a basic rule, or at least that's what I thought.
Does the user matter? I was suspicious, of course, and therefore conducted a mirror. If your going with your rules, then it would be Chieko under the genjutsu, and not Sayuri. And, additionally, I did mention to you in PM that Chieko looked into Sayuri's eyes... so if anything, she's under a genjutsu, and not Sayuri.
Either way, the way you claim to have placed Sayuri under genjutsu still does not make sense to me, perhaps you could elaborate on it more? (I know you tried before, I couldn't read it with all the lag) As far as I know, a rasengan that was not apart of Sayuri any longer, blew through Kaito's chest. It was never stated anywhere that Chieko placed a genjutsu on Kaito, or anything of that nature. And if she did, why is it activating after he gets hit? That sounds like a technique to me. But please, for the sake of my own knowledge, please tell me how a rasengan going through someone's chest allowed the user to be placed in a genjutsu.
Did you notice that after your turn, I stated that Kaito was hit? Also, you stated that you were able to control the sphere. Meaning you had to have a connection. With Kaito as the medium, her chakra infected yours. Just like with the kunai you picked up.
Again, I don't have state all the ways. It's multifaceted. Yes, Kurenai's could make genjutsu from sound, but Kishi didn't see it fit. Itachi could do a genjutsu by scent, but Uchiha = Dojutsu dependence for Kishi. He only used them for he wanted, not for all the things they could have done. Genjutsu encompasses a wide variety of forms and applications. This means that when I say genjutsu, I mean all of genjutsu.
Now, you created the mirror after my turn when Chieko used the fireball volley. Also, I never placed Kaito under genjutsu. I simply transferred the chakra that could induce genjutsu through him. The chakra would then spread over his body. When he came in contact with your chakra, it spread into that as well.
No, that's speculation. That's like me saying just because Neji is good at taijutsu, he's good at all taijutsu. He can open the eight gates, since your saying because Itachi and Kurenai are genjutsu types, they can initiate it through every way possible.
Simply stated a character is really good at something doesn't clarify what exactly they can do. If I said my character was good at kenjutsu, does that mean he can use all the sword styles in the world? Of course not, unless of course I had the courtesy to say "___ knows all the sword styles in the world", which would honestly be very lazy of me, since I'm not clarifying anything.
If your allowed to free style to such an extent, then I suppose I shall be able to as well? What if I all of a sudden said that because Sayuri is so gifted in chakra control, genjutsu can't effect her? Because esentially, that's what you doing here.
" I simply transferred the chakra that could induce genjutsu through him. The chakra would then spread over his body. When he came in contact with your chakra, it spread into that as well."
Except, it didn't touch Sayuri's chakra, only the chakra that the rasengan encompassed, which plunged a whole through his chest. It isn't mentioned anywhere that either of those characters can absorb chakra as far as I know. So how are they absorbing it?
If the technique Chieko used to trigger upon her chakra coming together with someone elses, then why is it that Kaito wasn't trapped in the genjutsu too?
It seems as though you and I aren't reaching a consensus here. Our minds are too different. I'm seeing things one way and you're seeing another. This will likely go nowhere. I have done nothing but repeat myself through this whole discussion and will likely continue doing so. In short, I think it's best if we just end it here.
Well, I think we should be able to agree on the fact that she did indeed mirror the genjutsu. We've seen the sharingan be able to break out even of the tsukuyomi (yes you have to be related, but thats beside the point) so it doesn't matter what turn she would have done so.
But because I made the conscious effort to prepare myself for a genjutsu, I don't believe she would be in the genjutsu. Also, the fact that after it was broken, Chieko commented twice on Sayuri's eyes, suggests that it's not Sayuri, but Chieko who is under the genjutsu. Do you get what I'm saying?
If your method worked at first, I don't know. Either way, the mirror would have sent it back, and since she has looked into Sayuri's eyes, she is now under the genjutsu.
Well like my example, we've seen the sharingan break out of something during the middle of it. As in, we saw Sasuke under Itachi's tsukuyomi, his eye was stolen, and before both eyes could be taken from him, he broke out.
Also, when Kurenai used the tree genjutsu on Itachi, he was also seemingly caught and imprisoned within a tree, only for him to latter turn the tables.
It's entirely possible, and for that matter, the only representation we've seen of the Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change had the user be caught within the genjutsu beforehand.
Well, obviously she would be aware of it too if she made such a move, lol. Why else would she randomly try to repel a genjutsu? If anything, it would have been her attack's after effect that gave it away. As mentioned in the context itself, it would have totally obliterated his body as a whole, but instead, left only a gapping hole, that was later healed on it's own. That's credited as her most powerful attack, and she'd for sure be aware of it's results.
