Overview[]
During the time of the Kaiboku the Mitamafuyu was known is an ancient mark given by the Mother of Origins to each leader of the seven clans. The original wielders of the mark were granted great power and control over different elements and primal energy of the earth itself. Once a member died the mark would appear on another within the clan after some time. The new person would often be promoted to leader of the respected clan. During the great war with the invaders and the birth of the qilin, the marks seemed to have faded from the clans. After many centuries the marks returned in the form of a Kekkei Genaki of the Kaiboku's descendants, the Asahina as well as those who have the blood of the Asahina. Unlike the original marks, the new seals granted the user a a boost in their spiritual abilities along with a boost in life force. Along with these boosts the users often gains access to a unique ability. Like the marks original incarnation only seven marks appear at any given time, if a user dies the marks will vanish and reappear on another.

The long lifespan and youthful appearance of the Asahina is often attributed to have came from this ability.
It is often debated that the Marks are akin to either a Fūinjutsu or a Jinjutsu.
