History

An ancient clan that was a break off of the Senju Clan. They came to the Land of Mountains around the time Konoha was formed. The Mokuzai tried to form a Hidden Village called Mokugakure, but failed. The Mokuzai then fought a war with the Senju in which they lost and were exiled. They were discovered again by Tora Uchiha and brought to the Village Hidden in the Mountains.

Mokuton (Wood Element Techniques)

The Wood Release (木遁, Mokuton) jutsu are techniques that combine earth and water-based chakra to create wood. Mokuton techniques can be produced from anywhere, including the user's body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life.
