My Ninja Way (我が忍者やり方, Waga Nindo) also called, A Ninja's Path, is the ninth episode of Riyan's part in Part IV.
Synopsis[]
Naruto and Kyūka are dashing through the woods, heading for Riyan's location. Kyūka internally confirms that she will bring him back, and that she will win his heart at last.
Riyan's group has moved closer to the Land of Fire's border when they are struck by a smokescreen from the trees. After the smoke clears, Naruto and Kyūka are before the group. Riyan is surprised to see Kyūka there. Naruto continues his earlier pleas and begs Riyan to return to Konoha, and turn away from a life filled with hate. Riyan smirks and remarks that he could care less for the "Konoha dogs" after what they did. This jogs yet another memory of Sasuke from Naruto.
Riyan and Tatsu begin to leave, causing Kyūka to chase and frantically plea with Riyan not to do this. Riyan looks back at her, causing her to have a flashback of the two when they were younger. Once it ends, Riyan says that this is his ninja way, and leaves Kyūka in tears.

Kyūka's Final Plea
- Kyūka: "Riyan! Stop! You don't have to do this!"
- Riyan: "..." (turns slowly, facing her with his Sharingan active)
- Flashback
- Young Kyūka: "So why do you want to be a ninja anyways? Seems to me you Uchiha have it made."
- Young Riyan: "Mataiden...he looks up to me. I have to be a strong ninja...for him. That's my nindo, my Ninja Way!"
- Flashback ends
- Riyan: "..I'm sorry Kyūka-chan...this is...my ninja way."
