Orochimaru one of the Legendary Sanin of the Leaf Village who defected 10 years prior to the start of the series

Name: Orochimaru (his last name is really Tojiro due to Zukia Tojiro being his real father)

Age: 52 (at the time of his "death")

Kekkei Genkai: Possibly the 100% Possesion Technique along with others that his father (Zukia Tojiro) and brother (Jei Ookami) posses.

Biography

Orochimaru is a former Leaf Village ninja. His lust for power and forbidden jutsu caused him to detect from the village. He once resurrected the prehistoric sheep Himawari because he wanted to experiment with her DNA on little lambs. Sarutobi, the Sandaime Hokage, discovered what he wanted to do and freed Himawari, who fled to the Animal Ninja Villages in the north of the Lightning Country.

Hoping to acquire a suitable body Orochimaru trained Sasuke Uchiha and used Kabuto Yakushi, his right hand man to get Indo Huiyo's energy and power his new body, because only an Uchiha Clan member can bare the Slabia of Darkness but was later killed before the transfer. Though he was not technically dead the world viewed him as so.

Orochimaru during the Konoha Invasion

Due to the rumors his village Otogakure was taken over by a rebel clan known as the Hebi Clan which was led by Hebima. During the Sasuke vs Itachi fight he reamerged from Sasuke Uchiha's body after Sasuke ran out of chakra to supress him. He emerged and tried to kill Itachi but was stab by Itachi's special sealing sword and was traped for all eternity.

know) is Jei Ookami. Zukia said that the only reason Orochimaru was born was because Zukia possesed a man's body using his Kekki Genkai and then impregnated a woman who became Orochimaru's mother. Zukia planned for Orochimaru to become just as strong as him so he could seek revenge on the gods that banished Zukia long ago. To add to Orochimaru's lust for power Zukia killed Orochimaru's mother (however it is not explained how),then he killed the body of the man he possesed.

During Orochimaru's time in the Akatsuki Orochimaru was partnered with Sasori but later left after an attempt on stealing Itachi Uchiha's Sharingan. Also it is mentioned by Pain that Orochimaru was a target of his Twisted Memories Jutsu and therefore forgot some of the information he obtained while in Akatsuki. What was forgotten is still unknown, though it may be his relation to Zukia Tojiro.

About 19 years before the original Naruto plot, he took on a student, known as Boufuu Kishi. He was going to be one of Orochimaru's original curse mark test subjects, but Orochimaru was found out by the Third Hokage, and had to flee Konoha before he could implant the curse mark in him.

Orochimaru's full body and power is currently sealed within Shien Uchiha. Shien's dark personality when he transforms suggests that Orochimaru could be alive within him, or it may just be the temptation of his power.

Other

Due to being the son of Zukia Tojiro and the brother Jei Ookami it is odd that Orochiamaru does not display any Kekkai-Genkai abilities despite his heritage. Perhaps he had the abbility to do so but never was able to unlock the trait due to his constant body swapping. With him currently sealed within Shien, it makes his body extremely similar to Orochimaru's by genetics. Shien may be able to perform Kekkai-Genkai abilities he obtained from Orochimaru, but this isn't proven.
