Otomonaro is the former ruler of the Rice Field Country. Before, he was just a man who trained so hard so he earned the power of a god. He eventually took the Rice Field Country as his own. The citizens of the country soon created an anger against their "god". After Orochimaru entered the Rice Field Country to make room for the Sound Village. Otomonaro didn't like the idea of having shinobies in his country to try to take his powers. After an argue, Orochimaru took the option of killing him with his Edo Tensei, to bring back older dead gods. The gods soon after used their powers to just destroy him. Orochimaru emidlety disposed of the gods in fear of them trying to take him to. With no one to stop him, Orochimaru created the Sound Village and ruled the Rice Field Country until Sasuke Uchiha killed him, and were replaced by the Chunin-ranked ninja Hebima.
