Ryou(涼,Ryou) was a Sunagakure orphan who was recruited into Root.

Background Edit

Even though he was trained to abandon his emotions, Ryou grew close to a younger Root member, Riku. He recognised Riku's talent in Wind Release, and encouraged him to continue his training. Riku looked up to him as a brother and began to shed Root's teachings, but Ryou soon died from a fight with Orochimaru, all of Riku's memories of him were gone. After Riku met Katashi, who he noted to be similar to Shin, Riku's memories of him returned, which brought a smile to his face.

Appearance Edit

Ryou had black hair and black-coloured eyes, When he was a child, he wore a red shirt together with a pair of dark brown pants. When he was older, he wore a brown robe and carried a tantō with him.

Personality Edit

According to Riku, Ryou and Katashi are very similar stating that Shin was also quiet, patient and refined.Ryou was also a very kind individual with a pleasant disposition as he helped Riku pursue his training. He was also stated to be very tenacious and absent-minded.
