The Taizōkai Mandala (胎蔵界曼荼羅の術, Taizōkai Mandala no Jutsu) is one of the signature techniques of the Meiō Clan.
Overview[]
Members of the Meiō Clan convert and infuse their Chakra into special pieces of paper, which unfold and expand into Shikigami; special paper dolls that move and act according to the will of the caster. These Shikigami take on a variety of shapes and come in various sizes. The actual capabilities of the Shikigami greatly depend on the caster: how much power the Shikigami has depends on how much Chakra the caster spends on it. For this reason, members of the Meiō Clan typically manifest their Shikigami in the forms of animals, who aid with attack or transportation. However, more skilled and experienced members of the Clan are able to manifest Shikigami in the form of dolls with more humanoid appearance.
Because these dolls are made from paper, albeit special paper, their arguably greatest weakness is lack of defensive power and it usually only takes a handful of well-placed blows to destroy them. Along with this, the dolls are terribly weak against Elemental Ninjutsu, and it typically takes only a single attack to destroy them.
